Aron Axe is the Director for Business Development & Revenue at Kraus Hamdani Aerospace. Before Kraus, Mr. Axe was the Director of Commercial Solutions at the Boone Group.

He has expertise in security assistance and stability operations through 10 operational military deployments of six months or more. Transitioning from active duty in 2016, Mr. Axe’s 25 years in uniform included four as an enlisted Marine intelligence analyst, four as a U.S. Naval Academy midshipman, and 17 as a Marine infantry officer. He has led organizations as a commander or operational planner for five theater security cooperation missions to the Far East, including working with Japanese, South Korean, Thai, Singaporean, Tongan, Tahitian, and Australian forces in real-world and training missions afloat and ashore. He was lead operational planner for the ground combat element for Exercise Cobra Gold in Thailand, the largest multi-national exercise in the world, working with seven other East and Southeast Asian nations.

From 2003 to 2004, he served on a Foreign Military Sales case in Jubail, Saudi Arabia as an advisor to the Royal Saudi Marine Corps,. From 2007 to 2008, he commanded over 300 Marines embarked aboard the Tarawa Amphibious Ready Group in the Persian Gulf and Horn of Africa. In 2009, Mr. Axe led a team advising the Iraqi Police in al Anbar Province, Iraq, where he was awarded the Bronze Star with “V” Combat Distinguishing Device. In 2010, he served as a future plans officer on a general officer’s staff in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, In 2013, he served as senior Marine and lead planner for a 180-person Marine, British military, and civilian advisor team in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Axe served as an instructor and the Associate Chair of the Political Science Dept. at the U.S. Naval Academy, has also taught graduate courses on Grand Strategy and Military Operations, as well as Insurgency and Counterinsurgency in Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.

He was a policy director for a mayoral campaign in 2017 and ran for state delegate in 2018 . From September 2019 until the presidential election, Mr. Axe served as a chief of staff to the 200-member Biden Volunteer Defense Policy Working Group, assisting the future Secretaries of the Army and Air Force with development of Defense policy support in response to daily news cycles, debates, and January 2021 planning.

He received his MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, his M.A. in security studies from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, and his B.S. in political science from the U.S. Naval Academy, which included an exchange semester to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
