Jared Littmann is the owner and operator of K&B True Value in Annapolis, Maryland. In addition, he is the President and Chairman of the True Value Co-op board since its formation in 2018. Jared served on the True Value Company Board of Directors from 2013 to 2018, including as chair of the Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee.

Jared also served for five years on the Annapolis City Council as Alderman, Ward 5, serving as chair of the Environmental Matters Committee and a member of the Housing and Human Welfare Committee. While in office, he led the successful efforts to create a Forest Conservation Act, School Capacity Ordinance, No Net Loss tree ordinance, and a Non-Discrimination Ordinance among over 60 pieces of legislation. Jared’s primary focus was on fiscal responsibility, environmental sustainability, fair housing, and good government principles.

Jared’s board experience also includes: the Key School Board of Trustees; the Annapolis City audit committee; and a founding and board member of the South Forest Drive Business Association. Under his leadership, his hardware store has received the “Environmental Steward” award from the City of Annapolis, and was named the “Best Hardware Store” by Bay Weekly twice, “Best Local Hardware Store” by The Capital four times, a nominee for the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Small Business of the Year Award, and a 2015 All Star by Hardware + Building Supply Dealer.

He holds a bachelor of science in Engineering and Public Policy from Washington University in St. Louis and a J.D. from the University of Maryland’s School of Law. Prior to buying the hardware store, Jared worked as an Associate County Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland.

Jared was appointed by the Annapolis Democratic Central Committee in June 2019 to fill a vacancy. Jared, his wife, and their 2 kids live, work, volunteer, and play in Annapolis.
