Phebe L. McPherson

One of Phebe's early and fondest memories is shopping on Main Street where as a young child in the 50's she accompanied her mother who bought fresh corn at city dock and a piece of lemon meringue pie at Read's Drug Store.

She has witnessed the careful restoration of Annapolis, applauds the development of West Street as an artscape and supports free transportation for the West Annapolis shopping area.

She has served on a number of County and State commissions with concerns about human rights, the legacy of slavery in Maryland, and currently serves on the State Commission for the Maryland Centennial of WWI.

She holds a doctoral degree focusing on the development of multiracial communities. She is a lover of the Severn River and a longtime supporter of protecting it and the Chesapeake Bay.
