Biography

Josh Falk is a lifelong Annapolitan with a career focused on conservation and education. He is currently the Program Manager for the Cities Connecting Children to Nature at the National League of Cities, assisting local officials to create access to nature for the benefit of children and families, confronting trends toward indoor lifestyles. He worked at the National Wildlife Federation managing programs focused on getting kids and families outside; including the Great American Campout, launching the Green Hour and 20 Million Kids Outdoors Campaigns, and developing a national fishing program. Before that he was a program manager at the National Environmental Education Foundation coordinating a national partnership among NEEF, the National Park Service, and the Department of Education to connect tribal youth to public lands. He also managed Hands on the Land, a program focusing on connecting kids and educators to their local public lands. Josh spent four years running a residential environmental education program In the Chesapeake Bay, on Smith Island, the only offshore-inhabited island in Maryland. He holds a degree in Anthropology from Drew University, and an advanced certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. When not at work, you can find Josh in his canoe or mountain biking with his sons, Finn and Jackson, and his wife, Hilary.
