Biography
| Phinehas Doraisingh is a dedicated community advocate, public servant, husband, and father committed to building a stronger, more accessible, and more connected Annapolis. A resident of Ward 5, Phinehas serves on the City of Annapolis Transportation Board, where he works with local leaders and community members to improve transportation, infrastructure, accessibility, and safety throughout the city. His passion for transportation comes from personal experience and a belief that everyone regardless of age, ability, or circumstance should have the freedom to travel safely and independently, and reliably. Professionally, Phinehas works in information technology supporting the Maryland Judiciary and holds a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and an associate degree in Criminal Justice. He is also an Eagle Scout, reflecting his longstanding commitment to service and his community. Outside of his professional and civic work, Phinehas is a husband and father who believes strongly in building a community where families can thrive. He is also a longtime Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, a pursuit that has taught him the value of discipline, perseverance, humility, and community, values he carries into his public service. Phinehas believes Democratic values are rooted in protecting individual rights, creating opportunity, investing in our communities, and making sure no one is left behind. He is proud to serve his community and looks forward to helping build a more inclusive and prosperous future for Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. |
